PLACING ORDERS

 

How do I place an order?

To place your order(s), kindly fill in the Bringitbay order form (click the green font to open the form). The form is found on the purchase page where you can shrink the size of the order form so it will remain open at the side of your page while you look through the sites you wish to place your orders from. You can also access the form from the Purchase page. Once you have seen the items you like, pick the shop from the drop-down list and enter the item description, item number or code, quantity, size and amount. Click submit, and go to the designated bank to make the necessary deposit.

 

Is there a minimum order amount I can place?

Yes. The minimum amount for any item to be placed is $1 or £1.

 

Can I place an order today and pay tomorrow?

Yes. Please ensure that when making the payment, you check the prevailing rate as we will not process the order if payment is not complete.

 

How can I make a change to my order?

If you made a mistake on your order or would just like to change something, please email us at orders@bringitbay.com within 48hours of placing your orders and let us know. If your order has not been sent out to our address within this period, we should be able to make the change for you. Please include the name the order was placed under, the email address used for the order, and what you would like changed.

 

How do I confirm that my order has been received?

Within a few moments after you click submit and we receive your order, we will confirm to you by email that we have received your order and also confirm to you by email when we receive your payment. Your order will be placed right after we have received the payment.

 

Why didn’t I receive a confirmation email?

Some email providers mark our confirmation emails as spam or block them completely. You can check your spam folder to see if the email arrived there. If you are not able to find it there you can email orders@bringitbay.com  and we can confirm that the order was placed.

What payment methods do you accept?

At the moment, we accept payment via bank deposits. Arrangements to accept payment by Interswitch ATM debit cards, Visa, MasterCard are in the process and will be concluded soon.

Once payment is deposited or transferred, kindly send an email requesting for a payment confirmation stating the amount paid into the account. This is a temporary measure that will be automated very soon.                                       

 

Note that if you get to the bank late, your payment might not be credited that day, thus not enabling us to place your order immediately.

What rate of exchange do I use?

Kindly take note of the prevailing exchange rate for the day on our site when making your payment. Taking note of global currency fluctuations, we have gone to extra lengths to ensure that the rates we indicate on our site are competitive and up-to-date. Please note that we will only take orders using the daily prevailing rate. We update the prevailing rate of exchange on a daily basis at 8:00 GMT

Service Charges

We charge per order placed by an individual or a group of individuals. These charges are different from the delivery charged by the stores you make purchases from which you will pay as if you placed the order yourself. Some online stores will not charge you for delivery if you order over a particular amount, thus we will not request for such store's delivery charges where the minimum order required has been met or where delivery is free.

 

E.g.

If you shop at 3 different shops and each of the shops charges £4.50 to deliver to us, you will be required to the final amount you are expected to pay, a sum of £13.50, separate from our own fees shown below:

How long will it take my orders to get to me from the day I place an order?

 

As a rule of thumb, we will place orders on the same day we are in receipt of funds which is usually the same day a deposit is paid into our specified account in Nigeria. Most UK and US stores will deliver between 3 to 5 working days and our freight partners will deliver to Nigeria (Lagos) within 5 to 10 working days. Ideally, it means we will endeavour to deliver to you within 15 working days from the day you paid into our specified account.

 

Do I need any need form of identification on delivery of the goods?

We will need you to present a valid form of identification (stated below), which matches the option you indicated when placing the order, on delivery of the goods to you by the courier company. Kindly ensure that the details on your order form matches the details on the means of identification that will be provided.

What happens to my goods if on delivery I am not around in person to collect?

In the event that you are not available at the given address which you have asked us to deliver to, we will require you to pick your goods with the specified means of identification you indicated when placing your order(s) at our courier partner's office in Lagos.

 

What shipping methods are available and how much do they cost?

We ship via a freight company based in London and Pennsylvannia. Shipping fees are shown above and include delivery charges (Lagos delivery only). Any other delivery fee is for outside Lagos orders only and is paid to the luxury bus transport company.

 

Out-of-Lagos fees are subject to weight of the items and are at the discretion of the bus companies, as such, we are unable to determine before-hand the exact fee. We will inform you once the items are at our Lagos office, of the cost of transporting the items using the luxury bus transport company.


Shipping Options

All packages are shipped as standard delivery to request for express delivery, please notify us at orders@bringitbay.com least 5 days before you place the order so that we do not disappoint you.

 

What cities do you deliver to?

We will deliver to customers with Lagos addresses while pick-up of items is available for customers outside Lagos via the nearest ABC Transport or IFEX offices. All shipping fees are from London to Lagos and customers outside Lagos will incur separate costs for delivering via the luxury bus transport companies from Lagos to their respective cities.

 

Proposed African cities we intend to deliver to in 2009 include Accra, Ghana and Banjul, Gambia.

RETURNS INFORMATION     

 

 

I was sent the wrong item/I was sent a defective item.

If you received the wrong item or it is defective, do not just mail it back to us. Please contact us at orders@bringitbay.com with your bank slip number and specifics about the transaction, and we will take care of it for you.

 

How do I exchange an item I purchased?

Most items purchased online have a maximum of 14days to be returned therefore with the constraint on shipping time, therefore exchanges will not be done.
